Data collected and purposes
2.1 When visiting the website
When you access our website, the web server automatically stores the following data in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device (anonymised)
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the retrieved file
- Browser and operating system used
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data is deleted after 30 days.
2.2 Registration and account
During registration we collect:
- Email address
- Chosen username
- Time of registration
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
2.3 User contributions
Reviews and submissions are linked to your user account and displayed publicly. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Cookies
StrainView uses only technically necessary session cookies for login state. These are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or the session expires.
No tracking or advertising cookies are used. Consent is not required pursuant to § 25(2) TTDSG.
Disclosure to third parties
Personal data is only shared with explicit consent, for the performance of a contract, or where required by law.

All connections to StrainView are encrypted with TLS/SSL (HTTPS). Passwords are stored exclusively as salted hashes. We employ industry-standard security measures and review them regularly.

We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. The current version is always available on this page. Registered users will be notified by email of material changes.
